Hello!

Just a quick saturday post from me:) This weeks theme at Less is More is much more easier than the last one; "something shiny". The challenge here is to not overdo it since you have your CAS design to consider. So here I have a paper with foiled, red stripes, and shimmering gold splash on the background. At first I tried with red splashes but it kind of looked like I had cut my thumb, with blood dripping down the paper. NOT the effect that I wanted, lol...

Lovely september...

Hi!
I know that autumn is closing in on us, with dark and rainy nights, but here in Sweden, we've had a lovely sunny weekend, at least where I live:). So, instead of cardmaking, I had to cut the lawn and things like that. It's a liiittle frustrating when you have some new stash to try. At last, I had time to make this card. I've had this sprayed background lying around for awhile, but the stamps with the matching dies from Lawn Fawn is new, and I just love it.

Hello!

It's "one layer week" at Less is More, and the theme is wishing. One layer, right... I often struggle with embellishments, since I don't use so much flowers and other stuff, but this is also a real challenge-I really like it though! It's like your crafting brain (yes I have one, don't you?:)) has to stop and go in a totally different direction, lol...

I splashed some gold shimmering ink over these lovely heart stamps...

Another enjoyable challenge at Color Throwdown this week. I choosed to make a birthday card for my dear nephew, since the colours fits him perfectly.

This style in card making appeals to me since there doesn't have to be straight lines or just not so neat:)

Isn't this awesome die from technique tuesday just...awesome :)?

I used this lethal weapon (it's kind of sharp, it really is), don't know the english word for it (I don't think I know the swedish word for it either, maybe mönsterprickare?) to make it look like seams. A very useful tool...

Today has been a beautiful september day, and I have been able to enjoy it when I got home from work. Had a relaxing and quiet walk with my dog in the sunny weather, I like!

Today I'm entering a challenge at Passion for ProMarkers, and the theme is travel/transport. I don't have any tractors or cars etc, but then I remembered this hot air balloon. Not much to colour there, but I choosed it to match the papers I used.

It's time for a new challenge at Less is More. Combine green and gold in a CAS design. I made a very simple get well card, and stamped apples on it. A little bit tricky though, to get the result that I wanted with the colours.

Hi!

How many aren't the times when I start with an idea in my head, and then it comes out totally different of what I thought in the beginning? Do you recognize it? When that happens, I often find it hard to be pleased with what I created. But if I wait a while, and then come back to the project, I can see it with "fresh eyes" and hopefully make something of it.
This week at "Less is More"  there's a sketch challenge, and this is my interpretation of it:)

It's hard to see on this photo, but the dots looks like they are black, but they are actually silver foil.

Just love Nats style, so put together and classy. The cut out says congratulations, and then I've stamped grandmother.

Springtime!

Hi!

Spring is getting closer, and this weekend we're changing our clocks back to summertime. Yay! I'm really looking forward to longer and lighter days.

Today I had the day off, I usually have fridays off, and instead of cleaning the house( it can't be called your day off, if you're supposed to do all of this cleaning, right?), I spent my time at my crafting table creating this card:

Added just a tiny touch of glitter to the flowers:)

Grönt är skönt...

Hej!
Mars är enligt mig den bästa månaden (födelsedag, man får uppleva alla årstider, melodifestivalen tar äntligen slut m.m.), och det som är härligast är väl ändå att man kan ana våren.
Idag har jag gjort ett kort med tema grönt. Har precis börjat träna på att färglägga med mina promarkers, och jag gillar verkligen hur man kan se bilden växa fram. En utmaning är dock att hålla färgen innanför linjerna;P

Det här är mitt tredje försök med promarkers och jag blev nöjd. Stämplar med Bentley Bear är så himla söta tycker jag, men just den här var lite pillig. Jag tror jag lyckades dölja mitt kladd hyfsat:)
Med det här kortet vill jag delta i Scrappaloss månadens utmaning, tema färgläggning och grönt.

As sweet as roses

Hi!

I met this adorable woman today, when I was walking my dog, and she was so happy that it wasn't dark outside yet. That is how we are, we Scandinavians, when we finally can sense that the light is returning to us.

After lying in bed all week ( a stubborn sinusitis came for a visit and decided to hang around), I probably should have made some lesson plans for next week, but making this card  seemed to be just the right thing to do instead...

Du är mitt hjärta...

You're my heart...
...says the stamp on this card. I used a beautiful wooden heart, washi tape and actually some duct tape for that silver metallic look in the middle :) Just looove the simplicity in this card since in my opinion, I don't have the "embellish talent".

A new year

Hi! I'm so glad to be back at my crafting table...Happy new year to all of you:)
I started this crafting year with a birthday card to my beautiful niece. She was having her 18th birthday at january the 1st. I came across a tutorial for an explosion card, and I really like the surprise you get when you open it, and it was really easy to do, so this was my first one but probably not my last.
