CTD #513

Hello everyone!
It's been a while.
I find it really hard to keep up the blogging and social media while your supposed (and I know that this is only me, pressuring myself) to be creating, at the same time that life, family and job happens. Does anyone recognize this? Anyhow, I've decided to be kind to myself, I mean I love cardmaking, and why stop doing something I love?
So one challenge that always is inspiring me is the one at Color Throwdown, every week, new colours and new ideas. So I'm happy to be back in the "blogosphere" with this contribution to challenge #513 at Color Throwdown, with the colours lime, green and navy in focus.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hi everyone!
I'm joining the colour challenge at Color throwdown, and these are the colours to play with this week:

I used distress inks and did some ink blending, and this very cute stamp is from    A Muse Studio.

Hope you like it!

LIM #371

Hello everyone!
Today I'm entering another colour challenge, this time at Less is more.

I used a stencil from Clear scraps, and a stamp from Panduro. Then I used a die with a background "shadow" (don't remember the brand), and my distress oxide inks (oooh how I love those, they are so easy to apply). It was hard, but then I decided to NOT make ink splatter on the background to keep the card panel clean and simple. However, there's always room for some glitter right? If you look closely on the sentiment you can see a little sparkle from my wink of Stella clear glitter brush.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

You are awesome!

Hello everyone!
I hope you're enjoying the weekend. Today I'm showing a card with an encouraging sentiment, and I think it's quite versatile. You can use it as a birthday card or why not for mother's day, I know many awesome moms:)
I started to make the background with distress oxide ink, hickory smoke, the stamp is from Boho dreams, Kaisercraft, and I did some paperpiecing with paper from Lawn fawn on the bow. "You" and "are" are from MFT but I really can't remember from which brand I got the "awesome" die... I finished the card with a few silver glitter enamel dots.

Take care!

CTD #491

Hello everyone!
Today I'm playing over at Color Throwdown, they have a new colour challenge every week, and the colours for this week are coral, green, kraft and white:
I personally associate those colors with a more flowery theme, but since I don't have so many stamp sets with flowers at all, I tried to think out of the box here... And I'm quite pleased with the result. I used a stencil with versamark ink and white embossing powder on kraft cardstock, and it actually worked out a lot better than I expected at first, cause some of the stars were really teeny tiny. I sprayed the background with a mix of perfect pearl gold and water, and of course it warped, so I adhered some fun foam on the back of it. Then I used stars and a sentiment from a stamp set from MFT; stars above, and coloured them with distress ink. The sentiment I stamped on a piece of vellum to it make pop a little against the background.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I really appreciate you take the time!

Hello!
This challenge at "Less is more" is a sketch challenge. I used a paper pad; perfectly plaid rainbow, and a die set; simply puffy cloud frames, from Lawn Fawn. The sentiment is from Jillibean soup. I masked off the clouds so I could splatter some gold ink in a kind of controlled way, I didn't want the ink to be all over the place:). Here's the sketch:

And here's my card:

New York, New York!

Hello everyone!
Today's my sisters birthday, yay! I made her this card that I'm showing today.  Inspired by the challenge #369 over at Less is more, where the theme is "bring something back". In early June we are going to New York with our families for a vacation, so I dug up this stamp from Penny Black, that I bought six years ago in - New York! I also used my old water colour pencils to  colour just parts of the stamp, hence I'm entering a challenge at Less is more and there should be a lot of white space. The sentiment stamp is from lawn fawn, Big scripty.
Happy birthday sis'!

Have a great weekend!

There's a bearthday coming up!

Hello!
Today I'm playing with a soft colour palette of pink, lavender, green and light gray, inspired by the challenge over at Color throwdown. I used stamps from the cute Beary special birthday-set from MFT, coloured it with my promarkers. As for the background I used a distress oxide ink and gave it a kind of ombre look, and of course I splattered water drops to get that "splashy" look. I also sprayed it with a mix of perfect pearl gold, and water, to give it some shimmer. The white cardstock has a beautiful texture of woodgrain that looks really nice I think. Topped it off with enamel dots and some clear wink of stella on the balloons and on the icing of the cake.

Birthday hug!

Hello!
Today I'm playing over at Color throwdown (and I'm out in the last minute, I know...), where the colour theme for this week is red, green and white. Hm, so what to do, what to do...? I tried red distress ink blending on red cardstock to deepen the colour, I think I like it, splattered water and some gold ink spray over the background. Then I did some green ink blending on the green cardstock, covered the balloons and "grattiskram" with wink of stella. I finished off the card with some sequins. (The word and sentence on the card says "Birthday hugs from me to you", in Swedish.)

Thank you so much for stopping by, I really appreciate you took the time!

Butterfly birthday!

Hello!
Sooo... My plan was to be healthy and well and let April fill me with light and energy blah, blah, blah... Ah well, perhaps in May then ;) Still I'm glad that I had the energy to craft today (even if I'm laying in bed right now, writing this blogpost, ha, ha...)
Today I'm showing a bright birthday card, you can never have enough of them, can you? I've used my distress oxide inks, dies and paper from lawn fawn and a butterfly stamp from reprint. Of course I used some stickles to make it sparkle a little.

Have a lovely weekend!

Hi!
I'm joining the challenge over at Less is more, and this week you are CASE-ing a card. I don't have that many flower stamps, but I found this at the bottom of my stamp drawer (I actually think it's my sister's, hope she doesn't want it back...), blended some distress inks and embossed the sentence with silver embossing powder. I embellished with a few sequins and a little silver splatter.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy 95th Birthday!

Hello!
It's quite amazing, but my grandma is having her 95th (!) birthday next week, and I've made her this card. Inspired by the colour challenge over at Color throwdown, I used paper from lawn fawn, a butterfly die (can't remember the brand) and the cutest embossing folder that I got from a crafting magazine years ago. The sentence says "congratulations" in swedish.

Time to celebrate!

Hello!

Today I'm showing a card with a little touch of spring. I am so ready for spring right now and at least we get to change the clock this weekend, so the evenings will get even more lighter, yay!
Since I'm combining a couple of challenges I had to keep it clean and simple with just a few colours, but I'm quite happy with it. I used a stencil from Crealies, a stamp from Crafty individuals, and did some ink blending to get that "peachy" colour.
